  P3 – P6 Classrooms

This is a picture of a typical P3-P6 classroom. P4s and P6s are lucky enough to have Promethean interactive whiteboards. We hope to purchase more as soon as we can as they are a fantastic resource. If anyone wins the lottery, please remember us!

 ICT Suite

The ICT Suite is in the main building and is used by all classes on a timetabled basis

        Communications Centre

Mrs Mulgrew is the Communication Centre teacher. Children with social or communications difficulties are based here. These children spend as much time as possible with their own class

   Primary 1

Our P1 classrooms are downstairs in the Infant Building and are large, bright and fun filled. P1s are lucky to have Promethean Boards which are used extensively for a wide variety of lessons.

 Music Room

The music room is in a stand alone room in the infant’s playground. Our music teacher takes classes here and uses it for choir and recorder groups. When she is not here teachers can use the room and variety of percussion instruments for their own lessons.

Main Building

The Main  Buildingfaces onto the A96 but the main entrance is at the back. This building has P3 – P7 classes as well as the Hall, ICT Suite, Communications Centre and offices for the management team and the school secretary.

 Junior Trim Trail

This great facility is on the grassed area of the main playground. It is so popular that children have a rota to use it.

Hall

The Hall is in the Main  Buildingof the school. The Hall is used for assemblies, concerts, drama lessons and productions like the Nativity play at Christmas.

 P7 Classroom

The P7 classrooms are large and airy and benefit from having Promethean boards.

 Open Areas

In the Main  Buildingmost of the classrooms are arranged in pairs and share an “open area”. This space is used for art and craft work, reading, computing and a variety of other things. This photo is of the very colourful P3 area.

Girls Toilets!

The toilets at the west end of the Main  Buildingwere refurbished a few years ago. We are lucky to have such nice conveniences!

Nursery Our Nursery is downstairs in the Infant  Building. This bright and lively room is always a buzz of activity. We run both morning and afternoon sessions.

P2 Classroom

Our P2 classrooms are upstairs in the Infant  Building. Both rooms provide large, bright and stimulating environments.

Gym Our large gym is located downstairs in the Infant  Building. P4 – P7 have lessons from our visiting gym teacher, but when she is not here it is used by all classes. Occasionally we have “whole school” meetings, such as award ceremonies, here.

 Canteen

As a Health Promoting School, our canteen provides tasty and nutritious lunches as well as running a Breakfast Club and providing snacks at break. Children P1 – P5 who choose packed lunches eat them at the back of the canteen; P6 and P7 children have their packed lunches in the Hall.
